POETRY 'UNPLUGGED'

01 February 2017

On Tuesday 31st January, we enjoyed our first 'Poetry Unplugged' evening and it was such a pleasure to see so many of our students, from Year 6 to Sixth Form shining with great professionalism and focus on stage! The evening took us to the fictional St George's school where we entered lessons, met the headmaster who didn't want to go to school, experienced Congo, met Mrs Butler and Mr Wright, listened to questions for a visiting author and imagined the antics of Clever Trevor as he "scored a goal!"

It was wonderful to hear students' own poems, and Hugo's creations set to music, and to see poetry brought to life through the many performances.

We have some very talented, brave and confident students, and we are very proud of them.

Well done to all who were involved.
