25 September 2017

It has been a wonderful start to the academic year and we are now truly into the full swing of things. The first half of term has been typically lively, with plenty of sports matches, house competitions, extra curricular activities, trips, camps, performing arts tutorials and of course academics keeping staff and students very busy. Striking the right balance between all of the above plus revision, cycle tests and relaxation can be tricky and I urge you to make regular contact with your child's tutor for guidance and support.

Thank you to the very many of you who were able to enjoy Open Day with us last Saturday. The day was a huge success and it was our highest attended event to date. Our best-kept secret is fortunately (or unfortunately) starting to reach the wider community and the feedback from prospective parents was resoundingly positive. A very big thank you to the Parents Association who were absolutely fantastic throughout the day and to the remaining parents who brought their children in to be tour guides and a whole host of other responsibilities for the morning. As always, they were fine ambassadors for our school and it is a privilege to hear them speak so fondly of their lives at Reddam House Berkshire.

Another busy week is upon us. Thursday 28th September is an opportunity for new parents of Year 7-13 to meet with subject teachers, tutors and your childs Year Coordinator. Please contact if you are having trouble booking a time through Parent Lounge and our admin team will be happy to assist. Friday 29th September is another opportunity for new parents and families (Year 7-13) to join us in a less formal setting than the parent consultation for drinks and dinner in the Mansion. This is a great opportunity for me to find out how your child is settling in to the Middle School and to enjoy each others company. Please do get in touch with before Wednesday 27th September to confirm your place.

I look forward to seeing you all throughout the term.

With my very best wishes

James Day

Head of Middle School
