SENIOR SCHOOL
Performing & Expressive Arts
Reddam House Berkshire offers expressive and performing arts subjects to both GCSE and A-level.
Dance, Drama and Theatre Studies, Music, Art and Design offer a creative outlet for students and a rigorous academic curriculum with which to complement the EBacc subjects. The department aims to provide many opportunities for pupils to act, direct, design, devise and produce. The Arts thrive as academic subjects at Reddam House and are taught throughout the school.
Dance
Dance is offered to all students until year 9 when they can opt for GCSE Dance, and then in year 12 they can continue their studies with A Level Dance. We aim to expand our students’ physical, technical and expressive ability through a focus on performance, choreography and appreciation of different dance styles and genres. Alongside termly units of work, students follow the RSL Jazz Syllabus and can enter for exams annually.
Examination and recreational classes are available in Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, International Dance Teachers Association Tap, and Freestyle and Street with qualified and registered dance teachers. There is also an auditioned dance company that runs outside of the core school day bring a vibrancy to this area of the school.
